About Us

THC percentage is not as important as you may think!

Nirvana Center is committed to informing and educating the public on cannabis and its effects. The most important aspect of cannabis is how the compounds affect people differently. There are over 400 compounds found in marijuana. Compounds like THC, THCa, CBD, CBN, and Terpenes to name a few. Every person will react differently to these compounds, especially terpenes. Of course, THC content matters to some degree, but it should not be the deciding factor when it comes to choosing which product is best for you.

It’s not the THC content that matters most, but how the THC combines with other compounds in the plant to create unique synergistic effects of varying magnitude and effect. For example, if you are searching for a strain that will help with stress relief and an elevated mood, then strains with limonene(citrus smell) will be the best choice for you. If you are in search of something that will help with insomnia or pain, then myrcene(musky, earthy smell) will be best suited for you. Furthermore, a strain with a THC percentage in the mid to low 20's can actually hit significantly harder than a strain with a percentage in the high 20's or low 30's.

We have had countless patients come in and explain that the 30% flower they purchased from our store or another store really didn't hit as hard as they thought it would. On the flip side, we've had patients come in and tell us how a 19% flower hit harder than anything else they have smoked. This is because of the terpenes associated with the flower itself.
