At Star Buds Baltimore, your health and well-being are our top priorities. While we will remain open during this time, it is crucial that we encourage and enforce social distancing in order to reduce the risk of spreading illnesses to one another. We recommend all patients to place a pickup order to reduce the time spent in-store. You are always welcome to add additional items to your purchase when you arrive.

In addition to our already strenuous cleaning protocols, we are:

• -Ensuring our staff are adhering to guidelines for hand-washing
• -Mandating that any employees who do not feel well stay home
• -Hand sanitizer is available throughout the store for both patients and staff

History:

The first Starbuds location was founded in Colorado by a team of compassionate individuals committed to healing through cannabis. The dispensary quickly gained a reputation for excellent care, community service and a curated menu of high-grade medical marijuana.

Starbuds Baltimore was founded by 3 best friends with a passion for cannabis and a drive to help patients in their home state of Maryland. Starbuds is proud to open its Baltimore doors and connect Maryland individuals with medical marijuana products and an excellent level of care.

Starbuds’ Baltimore dispensary stands in the Cedmont neighborhood of the city, situated on Belair Road. Located 1.5 miles from I-95 and 3 miles from the Baltimore Beltway (I-695). Visitors from the Overlea, Parkville, Rosedale and Rossville neighborhoods can rely on Starbuds’ compassionate and professional care. The team welcomes Towson, Belair-Edison, Essex, Fallston, Kingsville, Perry-Hall, North East Baltimore, Lauraville, Hamilton, Lake Montebello, and Middle River patients with the utmost attention. Medical marijuana patients travel to Starbuds from Roland Park, Hampden, Mt. Washington, Nottingham, Fullerton and downtown Baltimore. Morgan State, Loyola University, Towson University, CCBC, MICA, and Johns Hopkins University are all close by. 

How to Become a Medical Cannabis Patient in Maryland

1. Create an account with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission at mmcc. maryland. gov. You must purchase a Patient ID Card at the time of registration ($50). 

• You will need: State ID, Proof of Maryland residency, Last 4 of SSN, Passport-style photo of yourself, Valid email address, Credit/debit card to purchase ID Card

2. Obtain a written certification from a provider registered with the Commission. You can find a list of prescribing providers on the MMCC website. Qualifying medical conditions include: cachexia, anorexia, wasting syndrome, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures, severe or persistent muscle spasms, glaucoma, post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain. 

• You will need: Proof of your medical ailment (medical records from your PCP, prescription pill bottles, etc.).

3. Visit a dispensary (like Starbuds)! Bring your valid government ID & your patient ID number. A certification that is not used to purchase medical cannabis within 120 days of issuance becomes null and void.
