After some time convincing his mother, the founder got her to try the cannabis oil, and within weeks of use, she began to regain mobility in her hands and improve her quality of life. Inspired by this radical improvement, the founder assembled a group of like-minded industry and healthcare professionals to launch what would become Columbia Care, a Manhattan medical marijuana dispensary.
