About Us

History: The founder of Columbia Care is a first-hand witness of medical cannabis’ benefits as it helped someone very dear to him. His mother was slowly losing control of her hands due to rheumatoid arthritis, and where she was once an active woman who loved writing letters to her family, her mobility and quality of life were slipping away. His childhood friend, seeing how much this affected the family, quietly suggested that he give his mother cannabis oil to rub on her joints as an alternate treatment to her numerous prescription medications. He managed to convince his mother, and after only a few weeks of using the cannabis oil, she began to regain her mobility and happiness. This miracle result inspired him to share the wide-ranging benefits of cannabis with as many lacking patients as possible. Rallying with a team of like-minded individuals, Columbia Care began in 2013, since then expanding to several states throughout the country and helping thousands upon thousands of patients.

Menu: To cater to as many patient conditions as possible, Columbia Care Chicago offers a vast array of cannabis products and brands. They carry anywhere from thirty to forty different marijuana strains, dozens of concentrates and edibles, pre-rolls and much more. Columbia Care offers several cannabis accessories for their patient's use, and all of their products are tested by third-party labs by each manufacturer. Currently, Columbia Care in Chicago accepts cash and debit transactions for patient convenience. They offer various daily specials for their patients, as well as provide discounts for seniors, veterans, and patients facing hardships. Columbia Care’s platinum membership special also gives patients access to many other specials throughout their year-long membership. Parking is available along the street, and their dispensary storefront is easily accessible for handicap patients. 

Service Locations: Just off the 90 freeway, Columbia Care is located in the Jefferson Park area of Chicago, Illinois.
