Hip Hop Star Travis Scott Unveils New “Cactus Farm” Cannabis Line

Hip Hop Star Travis Scott Unveils New “Cactus Farm” Cannabis Line

July 16, 2021

If you’re a Hip Hop fan, you’re no doubt familiar with Travis Scott. With a string of top-selling albums and a fist full of hit singles, Scott is a massive star beloved in the rap music community. He’s also the latest celebrity to dive into the increasingly lucrative cannabis game.

If you haven’t already heard, Scott has teamed up with the highly regarded cannabis cultivator, Connected Cannabis, to launch their new joint line (no pun intended), Cactus Farms.

Announced just last week, the new line’s debut strain is an Indica-leaning hybrid that, according to Connected Cannabis, offers: “A dense, purple bud that releases a pungent, funky-sweet gas aroma rounded out by a unique berry twist.”

For the timing being, Scott’s Cactus Farm is exclusively available in select California dispensaries (The Golden State being ever the leaders in all things cannabis-related).

Cactus Farms Is By No Means Scott’s First Foray Outside Hip Hop

A savvy businessman, Scott has organized several successful ventures include a prosperous record label, Cactus Records, and the popular annual summer music festival in his hometown of Huston, Texas, Astrofest.

On the fashion front, Scott teamed with Nike to create a special edition Cactus Jack line of Air Jordan high-top basketball shoes. And Scott collaborated on a menswear line with Dior expected to be in stores this summer.

Scott also partnered with McDonald’s to release a limited-time “Travis Scott Meal.” And last fall, Scott announced joining Sony’s PlayStation team as a “Strategic Creative Partner.”

Meanwhile, with his latest endeavor, Scott joins fellow Hip Hop moguls Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, along with mainstream luminaries like Martha Steward, and most recently, Seth Rogen, as another high-profile Potprenuer.

Connected Cannabis – Committed to Cultivation Science

Scott’s partner in this enterprise, the Sacramento, California-based Connected Cannabis, was found in 2009. And while Connected operates in several states, they’ve focused on California, widely considered the most lucrative cannabis market.

Connected is also committed to advancing the science behind cannabis cultivation. This dedication is evidence by the company's 2017 acquisition of fellow cultivator, Alien Labs. And the 30 million in venture capital Connected raised early this year expressly to research and develop new cultivations methods.
